PURPOSE

The Hope Lutheran Church Library is open to all members of our congregation and community.

We seek to provide both print and non-print material to strengthen the educational work of the church, increase our knowledge of our own faith and others, enrich our worship life, provide information on social and economic issues, foster an appreciation of good books and deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Policies and procedures are established by the Library Committee consisting of the head of the Life-Long Learning Ministry and three or more members.

HOW TO USE THE CHURCH LIBRARY

  1. Find the card that goes with your gook, video tape, audio tape or CD in the large file.

  2. Write your name and phone number on the first open line of the card. Write today's date

  3. Put the card in front of the large card file.

  4. Try to keep the book, video tape, audio tape or CD for only three Sundays or less, to give everybody a chance.

  5. When returning he book, video tape, audio tape or CD, put it in the RETURN box. The Library Committee will put it back on the shelf.

  6. There are two other card files in the Library, so if yhou are looking for a particular book, video tape, audio tape or CD, check either the Title or Author card file to see if it is available in the Library.
